Red Roses for Momma

Red Roses for Momma is a new piece that a friend asked me to do for her mom or as she calls her "Momma". I decided to make an extra one to put in the shop as well.
These new bracelets have polymer clay beads that I made myself, I've been creating different colors and shapes and I'm pretty happy with the way they are turning out. I really never knew how much fun playing and creating with polymer clay would be and what I like the most about it is that I can create just the perfect color or colors to add to my pieces.

A Giveaway with a Twist!

**UPDATE** Winner will be announced Saturday evening-So keep posting!

Well here it is Monday again, a full week has passed and I don't know where it went! I had a little fight with my office chair and ended up with a bruised behind (not funny) and haven't been able to sit since last Friday!

Okay so back to the important stuff. I had said I would have a giveaway and now that I'm feeling a little better I am going to try to make that happen. But first I need a little help...this will help determine what color(s) the bracelet will be in the giveaway, so yes it's pretty much going to be a surprise until that random person is picked, of course I will take a picture and post it and pray that the winner loves it! Please leave your comments telling me what your favorite color(s) for summer are, why they are your favorites, and what memory does it bring to mind.
I'll give you an example, when I made Sunset on the Mesa(see below in previous post) it was because one of the things I love about being on my family's ranch in New Mexico is looking to my west and watching the sun set on that mesa mountain changing color from a reddish brown to a beautiful purple and the browns because the juniper trees take on a darkish tinge against the mountain.
Thanks everyone and I will pick the lucky winner with the random generator on Saturday morning!
To leave a comment click below where it tells you how many comments there are, not sure why it doesn't say post a comment, thanks!

Spring Cleaning

Well it's nice to have Spring here and an end to the cold brisk days and now that I have found some new energy with the longer days I have been looking around my little studio with exasperation. Rob likes to say I corner myself into one little area at my work table, wondering how on earth I can get anything done! So I have decided it's time to do a little spring cleaning, as much as I hate to I have to. We have the Taos art show coming up in a month and I need to concentrate...yeah right!

To make room for new little tesoros (this is what I call my pieces-spanish for treasures) I have reduced the prices on my jewelry in the Etsy shop, the necklace and bracelets shown here have some wonderful polyart beads made by AslanCrafts on Etsy, and I also plan on having our first give-away, YAY, on our blog so stay tuned for that, I will be announcing it by the end of the week.

Happy Monday all, hope your week is a good one!

Getting ready!

Just wanted to share our good news...

Rob and I have been accepted into the annual Taos spring art show in May! I think what is making this so special is that we both love taking quick trips to New Mexico and this is going to be a fabulous mini vacation for us too, it is our anniversary today (9yrs) and we decided we would make this trip extra special! So yes, as exhausting as it is to create and prepare, we are so happy to be able to not just focus on the show but to know that we will be getting a much needed break from Denver and our full-time day jobs!

Is anybody else getting ready for any spring and summer shows? Let me know how it goes, I think this type of info we share with each other as artists is invaluable, from what to make sure you take with you to what just doesn't work.

The pics are some of our newest pieces, we have them up in the Etsy shop, have a good evening!
